This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey there to anyone who reads this. I will set a rule for my journal at the moment. It will only relate to any activities regarding my drawing or any other artwork. Although I am an actor I don't feel the need to make a journal about it just yet. Anyway, now seems to be the start of something new. Keep reading to find out what I'm talking about!
I only recently got into drawing and thus far, I have only made drawings by looking at other pictures (only anime or manga) and copying what I see in free hand. I usually end up collating various images together, enlarging them or altering them very slightly. But when I do draw I really enjoy it and I like pooring my efforts into it and seeing what I can come up with.
However, one thing I wanted to do was to be able to make creations of my own or make original fan art of certain characters within anime/manga. I wanted someone to be able to tell me how to do this who I felt was experienced and would be able to teach me something in person.
On saturday my wish came true as their was a manga drawing workshop being held at my library. I won't mention who was holding it just in case they do not wish to be named but she was certainly an inspiration to me as I learnt so much on saturday and picked up a mine of handy tips and information to bear in mind when drawing manga.
Some of the things I learnt:
- the basics of drawing manga characters (eg using construction lines, body proportions, facial proportions, characterisation etc)
- how to write your own manga stories
- the process of creating your own manga stories
- how to draw chibi style characters
- perhaps the most important thing: start off with simple drawings/concepts/creations and gradually work your way upwards
- and of course many other things too!
I feel as though words escape me when trying to display my gratitude towards her. She really gave me the inspiration I needed to get started. It wasn't just the information, it was the way she explained it simply but effectively and also she was really nice and cool with everyone at the event! Anyone who has been inspired by someone else will know what I'm getting it. It has given me great enthusiasm to start creating my own work, improve my skills, and to put even more effort into any work I may create! Of course it will always be simple to start with. But this is the start of me properly discovering a new world and diving head first into a new hobby!
So if I do get some artwork up soon don't expect it to be perect. I am going to start off drawing simple things and just drawing them so I can start to get some sort of technique off the ground even if it is simple!
I'm going to enjoy drawing and hopefully I can show all of you how much fun I'm having!
Hey there everyone - I will hopefully have some art to show very soon - some photographs - some drawing (I've only just started) and maybe some other random stuff too!
